“ Prayspace @ King Edward VI Upper, day 5 ”

Friday, 22nd June 2012 - 17:14

Sadly it was our final day in King Edward Vi Upper today, after another great week of Prayspace.

We had two groups through the room and a busy lunchtime - it was great to welcome the CU and also a number of other students taking the last chance of the week to visit. They left some lovely comments in our comment book as they left as well! Now praying for one student who is known to me from middle school - a quiet, reserved and incredibly anxious boy who has been helped by our Worry prayer station. Some of the stories he was telling me today just made me very concerned over his spiritual health. It was great to be able to chat tohim, but it felt like it was the tip of a very large iceberg... Again the question arises of how we consistently minister to these needs.

Just a final word - the school staff have all been superb this week and we can't thank them enough. Wonderfully, they all appreciate the room and value the contibution it makes to the lives of the students who visit. Thanks to all of them - they do a marvellous job and we appreciate their support so much.

Now to prepare for our first Prayspace in a middle school which we provisionally booked yesterday!
