Snow days galore add an interesting twist to the mix of things screeching round my head as we head into 2010. It's an exciting time for us at BCY towers because it marks the beginning of Mark's internship with us, and hopefully the development of an internship programme that will stretch off away into the future.
Jesus' ministry was marked by the way he invested in people - and we want to do the same. It's not about getting someone in to be a dogsbody or make me tea every five minutes (although, come to think of it... :) ) - it's about investing in the next generation of leaders who will then be able to tell the generation after them the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, in a way more radical and dynamic than we ever would have dreamed possible.
And in all of this it's about challenging ourselves to live in a way that is worth following, as we disciple and teach Mark and those who will hopefully come after him.
And it is a MASSIVE challenge!
Please, God, we're praying we're up to it!
